What You Should Know About A Paris Street Market in Littleton, Colorado

Each year, downtown Littleton’s shopping district, Aspen Grove, transforms into a charming, Parisian street market. Vendors come from all over to sell their wares and shoppers are sure to delight in unusual finds, scrumptious eats, and the chance to travel without really leaving home. Here’s what you should know about this highly anticipated annual event.

21 Years in the Making

For over two decades, A Paris Street Market has been gracing the streets of Littleton and many of its guests have been patrons since the beginning. As an open-air market, this event runs rain, show, or shine. Its inception began on a snowy, cold morning in early May 2001, vendors huddled in their booths under ponchos and down jackets while dedicated shoppers sought out unusual finds. The market has come a long way since then but continues to feature community, antiques, and friendly-faces.

Over 75 vendors sharing artisan goods, vintage clothing, antique gems, and more pack the place each Saturday. You can find everything from garden décor to gourmet cheese curds. There’s something there for everyone!

Tips and Tricks for Making It a Great Day

Be prepared for a variety of weather. It is Colorado, after all, and if you’re shopping from morning to afternoon, a rain shower or two could be in the forecast. The market advises that shoppers wear a backpack so they can browse with both hands and put purchased goodies somewhere safe and hands-free. Abundant treasures await around every corner so wear comfortable shoes to see the market from end-to-end.

Bring cash and a credit card. Most vendors accept both, but some are still cash-only. Bring your appetite because food vendors accompany the many antiques and home goods booths. Arrive early to score some truly awesome items and bring a flashlight if it’s before sunrise.

Safety Measures

Because the COVID situation in Denver is ever-fluctuating, the market will space booths out appropriately and encourage shoppers to socially distance. Masks are encouraged, as well as staying home if you aren’t feeling well. A Paris Street Market relies on community participation and wants to stay open while keeping its patrons, staff, and vendors safe.
